We enjoyed an amazing day at Oxford Cathedral and the Ashmolean museum.
After a fun journey on the coach we were met at the cathedral and shown a presentation about the history of the Cathedral, the people who work there and even got to explore some of the clothes they wear.
We were then taken into the Cathedral where we were told the story behind one of the lovely stained glass windows, before heading to the middle of the Cathedral and taking centre stage to entertain everyone with a special song that we love singing in assembly at school!
After our amazing singing experience, we were taken to a quiet area where we had our own small service led by Rev John Paton. Mrs Raven read us a bible reading and we all said The Lord's Prayer together before saying some of our prayers that we had prepared as a class and lighting a candle for each of them.
We were then given the chance to receive a blessing if we wanted to before being presented with our bibles.
After lunch at The Cathedral, we had a short time for a play in the Cathedral grounds
before heading to The Ashmolean Museum to explore the Ancient Egyptian galleries.
All in all, a very fun packed day with lots of special memories that we will treasure for a long time to come.
