Humanities & Science- Mummifying Tomatoes

As part of our Ancient Egyptians topic we have been mummifying tomatoes. We copied the Ancient Egyptian process of mummification but instead of using a human body- we used a tomato! We had to make an incision (cut the body), scoop out the insides (remove organs into canopic jars), hook out the brain, clean the body (anti-bacterial wipe), weigh it, stuff and cover in natron (bicarbonate and salt) then seal it in a bag (put it in a coffin!).
