On Thursday, Oak Class went on a school trip to Oxford. We visited the Ashmolean Museum and Christ Church Cathedral. In the Ashmolean Museum we did an Ancient Egyptian workshop where our leader taught us about what they used to do in Ancient Egypt. We learnt a lot- we even saw some real life mummies! We split up into three groups and we were given five clues to work out who the treasures belonged to. In our groups we held pieces of Ancient Egyptian treasures which we had to investigate. After lunch we walked to Christ Church Cathedral. When we arrived, Jackie (our guide) gave us information about the cathedral. Then we had a special service where we sang ‘Here I am Lord’ and shared a prayer we had written. We were presented with some spectacular bibles. We want to say a big thank you to the PTA for the bibles. We also want to say a big thank you to the parents who came on the school trip; Mrs Nelson, Mr Clark and Mr Retief.
