Science- Investigating friction

Today we investigated friction and we got ramps and different materials and put the car on the ramp to see how far they would go. The slowest one was the grass and the furthest was the table. The table went the furthest because it didn’t have as much friction as it was smooth. When somebody put the car on the ramp and let it go the gravity pulled the car down and the friction made it stop. Friction is a force that goes the other way. We did a graph to show which went the furthest and we found out that we only changed one thing to make it a fair test. Written by Class 3.
