We have been learning and working with the sounds m, a, s, d, t, i, n, p, g, o, c, k, u, b, f, e, l, h, r, j, v, w, z, x and special friends sh, th, ng, nk, ch, qu. We are very busy trying to hear the initial sounds in words and putting the sounds in the correct order (using magnetic boards). The initial sound for a word needs to come first (the line leader).  'I spy' would be a good game to play at home - "I spy with my little eye, something beginning with mmm". For those Parents that didn't attend the Phonic workshop, please use 'pure sounds' - mmm not muh, sss not suh, nnn not nuh. Otherwise the children may become confused!yessmiley

We practise letter formation every day and are focusing on writing m, a, s, d and t with the lead ins "here we go" and the lead outs.
