Autumn - Islam

In the autumn term, we explored how Muslims worship and the Five Pillars of Islam. We discussed the methods used in a mosque and how to treat and read the Qur'an. We also got to use a prayer mat and spoke about how Muslims face Mecca whenever they pray.

Autumn - Maidenhead Mosque trip

We were lucky enough to enjoy a trip to Maidenhead Mosque in the autumn term, getting to explore the various aspects of the building, learn about the way in which Muslims pray and discuss how Muslims give back to their community.

Spring - 'What would Jesus do?' roleplays

Our big question in Spring 1 was 'What would Jesus do?' We had several discussions about real-life scenarios and discussed how we would act, considering how Jesus would respond in the same situation. We examined how Jesus helped people affected by leprosy, how followers were treated and how strangers were supported. We also considered how Christians demonstrate Jesus' values today and what they represent.
