Today you are going to recap 'fact families': if you know one calculation, such as 2 + 8 = 10, you also know another addition calculation, 8 + 2 = 10, because addition is commutative. From this, we can make two linked subtraction calculations: 10 - 2 = 8, and 10 - 8 = 2. The same three numbers must be used for each calculation in a fact family.
