Open the Book

Open the Book is an organisation which re-tells Bible stories during school assemblies. Our dynamic team is made up of parents and members of the St Nicolas church congregation and children are often invited to join the cast.
We bring Bible stories to life on a Thursday morning with a bit of humour, music and props!  We have been running Open the Book assemblies at St Nicolas' for many years now and hope that the children have been sharing what they've seen.  If you are interested in contributing to the team (acting, narrating or making props) please contact the school office.

Prayer Group
We support a prayer lunchtime every half term where the school music room / the field becomes a prayer room for children to write or draw prayers.

Thankyou God for our school and for freedom to learn.
Help us make it a place of happiness, thankfulness and peace;
A place where friendships are made and respect is shown to all;
A place where we can have courage to do our best;
A place where we can be honest with each other and with ourselves;
And a place where we all work together to be the best that we can.
