Going the Extra Mile

Well done for choosing to go the extra mile in your learning!

Week beginning 15th  December

Create a poster to demonstrate how to add, subtract and multiply proper fractions and mixed numbers with different denominators. Look at the website 'maths with a mouse' if you need a reminder.

Week beginning 8th  December

Choose one of the activities related to our science topic - Light.

Remember the rules of fair use and copyright for students at school. 

Week beginning 1st December

Week beginning 24th November

Geography:

Choose 5 capital cities from around the world. Find and record their latitude and longitude co-ordinates.

Find the latitude and longitude of famous landmarks around the world. eg The Eiffel Tower, The Great Wall of China, The Sydney Opera House, The Pyramids of Giza.

Using an atlas, investigate which 8 countries the Prime Meridian passes through

Week beginning 10th November

Create a poem or rap to advocate kindness and respect for anti-bullying week.

You may choose to perform this for the class on Monday.

Week beginning 22nd September

Find out more about Paul Nash, the artist we are studying this term.

Look at the Tate website and look closely at his paintings and sketches.

Try to find examples of surrealism or abstract art.
