Phonics

We use the Read, Write Inc. scheme for teaching phonics. We are learning phonics in small groups now. Please see below.

FOR ALL GROUPS.....

Please go through the set 2 sounds practice booklet. Assessments have been completed and new groups will be set for next term. However, many children still don't know a lot of these sounds. Daily practice is needed!

Please also sit with your child and help them to form a curly c - starting from the top and not the bottom. This forms the basis for all of the curly letters: a, o, g, d and q. Lots of these letters are not being formed correctly at the moment and habits are forming, so lots of practise at home would be appreciated! Thank you.
