Packing List for River Dart
River Dart Thursday pm
All returned from the caving - hugely muddy and very fulfilled. The high ropes were a highlight and everybody challenged themselves. We have all enjoyed a fabulous campfire and toasted marshmallows in the woods tonight. Expect a loud rendition of all the songs on their return.
Tomorrow morning we will be building rafts in teams and racing them around the lake, which will be great fun. After a hot shower and some fast packing, we are hoping for a quiet and sleepy coach journey home. See you tomorrow!
River Dart - Thursday am
The children had another fabulous day yesterday with a beautiful hike to Dartmoor in the sunshine, followed by rock climbing on Leigh Tor. The evening was spent on a gymo course, orienteering in the dark!
All the children are eating and sleeping well. They are safe and having a wonderful time.
Like many other schools, we are experiencing difficulties both uploading to the website and sending photos.
We will do our best to give you a written update at the end of the day. Please bear with us, as the 32 little people in our care take absolute priority.
We are now preparing to go caving and on the high ropes, with den building and a camp fire this evening.
River Dart - Tuesday
The children have had a lovely day kayaking and canoeing.
Please know that we are prioritising looking after each and every one of your children to ensure that they are safe, happy and having a lovely time.
We are very busy all day with activities and having difficulties accessing Wi-Fi on Dartmoor; we will do our best to post a daily update here.
The children are having a fabulous time getting muddy, wet, being up high and challenging themselves to try new things.
All the children are thoroughly enjoying the food and have commented that they are actually eating like kings. They love all the opportunities they are getting to develop their independence.
