Chestnut weekly updates

9th - 13th June- The Lighthouse Keeper's Cat

 

This week we will be choosing our favourite learning to display on Wednesday for the Open Evening and recreating some of our best constructions!

 

We will be reading 'The Lighthouse Keeper's Cat' by Ronda and David Armitage and making predictions about what we think will happen. We will be discussing the characters, in particular, Hamish (the cat). We will talk about their feelings during different parts of the story.

 

 

We will continue to work on developing our fine motor skills using a variety of activities and practise correctly forming each of our letters. We will be also focusing on consistently using a finger space in between each word when writing so our ideas can clearly be read by others.
