Willow Class prayer

Dear Lord,

Please guide us to be the best version of ourselves and to respect all of our school resources. We thank you for all the wonderful teachers in the world for helping us learn.

We are grateful for our school community, which is full of respect and kindness.

Please help us to always be proud of ourselves and to demonstrate our school values.

Thank you for giving us life, hope and happiness.

Collective worship

In Willow class, we present a collective worship assembly to each of the other classes in the school, most weeks. These are called Picture News assemblies and we discuss the latest events around the world and important news.

Our audience discusses what we have presented to them and we relate each story to our own experiences. Children have the opportunity to work together when planning their assemblies, taking on a responsibility.

Each week, there will be a prayer for every child to make their own, as well as some thoughts to take away and act on.

Children love presenting Picture News as it gives them the opportunity to work with peers, find out more about the world around them and explore our school values, as well as the Christian faith.
