Welcome to the St Nicolas' CE Combined School Parent-Teachers Association
Here at St Nicolas' our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) brings staff and families together with a common goal; to raise funds so that our children will benefit from having a great place to learn and thrive. By collaborating our efforts at events and fun challenges, we can continue the positive impact that our additional fundraising can have on the school, staff and our own children.
There are events throughout the year for socialising and to raise money for those extra resources that don’t fall within the school’s budget. We couldn’t do it without you. So, whatever your skills – please do share them with your PTA!
Being part of our PTA community is an important part of your child’s school life and it is a great chance to meet other parents and carers and feel involved with the school. Even if you can only give a few hours of your time to help at events, we would love for you to get involved in any way you can.
There are lots of different ways you can help and support your child through the PTA. These include:

Our committee members are here if you’d like a chat, want to ask a question or share your ideas. Please do not hesitate to contact us by email at stnicolaspta@yahoo.com or follow us on Facebook: ‘Friends of St Nicolas' School Taplow’. We would be delighted to hear from you.
How the money raised is spent
The school requests funds from the PTA to pay for specific items or projects. It is at our PTA Committee Meetings that the decisions on how to spend the money are agreed. In the main the PTA funds are for the 'extras' not provided by the school budget, that make our children's learning experiences so much more fulfilling and exciting. We always endeavour to spend our funds in ways that will benefit all our children across all areas of the school and curriculum. For example, in 2018/2019 fundraising and donations paid for anti-glare window film for 3 classrooms, Oxford reading books, a new computer and monitor for the Library, blinds and carpet for the ICT suite and Living Eggs.
