Parent Communication

At St Nicolas' we recognise the vital role parents play in the education of their children.  We believe in the value of strong home-school partnership, of which respectful, effective communication is an important element.

 

Our primary means of communication with parents are

  • the weekly newsletter (sign up to ParentPay to receive these to your inbox)
  • targeted emails eg to parents/carers of a particular class (again, via ParentPay)
  • this website
  • termly reports and parent consultation meetings 
  • your child's planner

 

When you wish to contact us, we ask that you contact your child's teacher in the first instance as they know your child best. You can contact the teacher 

  • via email to schooloffice@stnicolastaplow.com addressed FAO the teacher and greeting them by name
  • with a note in your child's planner (urgent communication is best sent via the office as above)
  • by telephoning the school office on 01628 03759 and requesting a call back 
  • on the gate at the end of the school day
