Headteacher’s Welcome
Welcome to St Nicolas’ Church of England School. We are a friendly, welcoming and happy school; situated on the green in the village of Taplow in Buckinghamshire.
At St Nicolas’, we believe that the children are at the heart of everything we do and our Vision reflects this commitment.
Together we strive to be a centre of excellence which serves our local community focusing on the Christian values of: love/friendship, respect, honesty, courage, thankfulness and peace which permeate through every aspect of school life. We feel that it is very important to forge and develop strong links between the school, families and parish, promoting the spiritual and moral development of all in the school community. We nurture each individual, giving them the encouragement and opportunities to do their very best at all times.
As a school we aim to deliver a creative and stimulating curriculum which develops a love of learning, lifelong skills and prepares the children for challenges that the future holds. In partnership with parents we endeavour to help all children develop their independence, resilience and sense of responsibility so that they are fully prepared for the next phase of their education.
We have high expectations for all of behaviour and standards and work together to ensure that all of our learners are able to access a relevant, inspiring and high quality education. We have a talented and dedicated team who are committed to providing engaging learning opportunities for all in a safe and secure environment.
We believe that working in partnership with parents and carers is fundamental to ensure that each child achieves their potential.
