On behalf of our Governors, a very warm welcome to St Nicolas’ CE Combined School.
As Governors, we have an important role to play in monitoring the safety, welfare and education of all of the pupils in our care. To ensure this, we work as a collective with staff, parents, carers and our children in an open and caring environment where everyone’s contribution is valued. We are committed to the School’s important role in the wider community.
We are justifiably proud of the achievements of our children across the curriculum and of the high standards that they achieve in both learning and behaviour. We are ambitious for the future of the school and are involved in various aspects of the school’s operation, supporting and encouraging the Headteacher and all staff members to ensure that each individual pupil has the opportunity to make and achieve progress and to do so in the best environment possible.
Please take a moment to browse the School website and the Governors page where you will see more general information about the School.
I would like to thank, staff, parents and carers for making our School the success that it is through their encouragement and support. For our children, this support nurtures key social and creative skills, particularly in these early years and it helps to build self-esteem and confidence. I would encourage you to get involved in School life and your child’s learning as much as you are able.
Should you wish to meet me to discuss any aspect of School life, or are interested in becoming a governor, please make contact with the School office in the first instance.
I look forward to meeting you.
